Virginia M. Campbell was born on April 29, 1944 at Brandsville, MO to George Patrick Thompson and Maddy Wall-Thompson and departed this earthly home Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO, at the age of 71 years. Virginia was married to Roger D. Campbell on December 30, 1994 at Alton, MO. They lived at West Plains, MO after they were married. Virginia had many hobbies. She enjoyed family gatherings, bowling, bingo and crocheting. She won many gold medals competing in Special Olympics. She was also employed from 1974 to 1999 at Ozark Sheltered Industries at West Plains, MO. Survivors include; her husband Roger D. Campbell, sister-in-law Barbara Kay Haney and husband Manuel, her daughter, Virginia Anna Thompson, one sister, Tiny, five nieces and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James Henry and Louis Earl Thompson, her father-in-law, Arley Campbell and mother-in-law Gladys Mullins Campbell. Virginia was saved and baptized at the age of 15 years. She attended First Baptist Church of West Plains, MO. Services will 2:00 pm Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Clary Funeral Home, with Richard Wright officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated, with burial at a later date. |
