Georgia Davene Owens-Jaeger, age 92 of Alton, MO was born September 10, 1923 and passed away October 28, 2015 at Brookehaven Healthcare, West Plains, MO. Davene was a Christian, being baptized in 1941. After graduating from Alton High School, she attended the Cadet Nursing Corp at Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Later she graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in nursing. She was married to Herbert Jaeger of Malverne, NY on November 21, 1953, who preceded her in death in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George Richard Owens and Pearl Dodson-Owens, brother, Kelly Owens and sister Dorothy Marie. She is survived by brothers Richard Owens and wife Sarah of Mtn. Home, AR, Jon Alan Owens and wife Lorna of Albany, OR, sisters, Lorene Cobb of Shawnee, KS, Anna Jean Altizer of Abington, VA, Mildred Wallace of Alton, MO, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery with Bro. Charles Trantham officiating. Arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
