Mary Joyce Barton, the daughter of Jodie and Eva (Neal) Hollis, was born October 18, 1918 and passed away July 6, 2015, at Brookhaven Health Care, West Plains, MO at the age of 96. Survivors include her six children: Imogene and Fred Allen, Ellington, MO; Nadean and Rich Balogh, Maryville, IL; Roy Smith, Deming, NM; Freda Davis, Alton, MO; Jodie and Susan Smith, Spanish Lake, MO; and Lynn Barton, Mammoth Springs, AR; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Crabtree. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Anna (Barton) Cline and Jim Barton. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester Smith; husband, Waymon Barton; one infant son, Troy; step-daughter Laverne "Butch" (Barton) Robinson ; son-in-law, Joe Davis; daughter-in-law, Emilie Smith; grandson, Kevin Davis; and great-grandson, Christopher Smith. Visitation will be at Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 followed by graveside services at 11:00 a.m. at Bailey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bailey Cemetery or left at the funeral home.
