Niel Elwood Armstrong, age 75 of Alton, MO was born December 27, 1939 in Valentine, NE on the banks of the Niabra River and passed away June 30, 2015 at the Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Richards on May 23, 1959 at the Lutheran Church in Glenwood, Iowa. Survivors include; his wife Charlotte Richards-Armstrong of the home, three children, Susan Hastie of Alton, MO, Steven Elwood Armstrong of Alton, MO, Stanley Armstrong of Villisca, Iowa, one sister, Reta Smith of Harlin, Iowa, one brother Cecil Armstrong of Imogene, Iowa, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Cleal Armstrong and Loyce Templeton-Armstrong, one brother, Dennis Armstrong, and two infant brothers. Services will be 10:00am Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Pennwood Church, Alton, MO with Bro. Donnie Finley officiating, interment in the Huddleston Cemetery, Alton, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday. 6;00-8:00 pm at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
