Lois Irene (Anderson) Ashley, age 78 of Alton, MO, was born December 17, 1936, in Marseilles, IL, and passed away March 20, 2015, at the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Survivors include: her husband, Harold Ashley, of the home; 1 son, Mark Ashley & wife Judy of Alton, MO; 3 grandchildren, Mark Ashley, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Nicole Marie Ashley of Streator, IL, and Ricky Lee Ashley of Indianapolis, IN; 2 great-grandchildren, Hayden Ashley and Kaitlan Ashley of Streator, IL; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lawrence and Ethel (Gunderson) Anderson; and 1 brother, Laverne Anderson. Visitation will be 10am-Noon Monday, March 23, 2015, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with the funeral service immediately following at noon, with burial in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
