Kalon Ray Patterson, age 58 of Nashville, TN, formerly of Myrtle, was born August 3, 1956 in Doniphan, MO, to Hulan and Louise Clayton-Patterson, and passed away February 4, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, TN. Survivors include, a daughter, Susan French of Alton, MO, granddaughter, Kaylee French of Cherokee Village, AR, his mother, Louise Patterson of Myrtle, Missouri; two sisters, Becky Redus and husband, Lane of Doniphan, Missouri and Kim Cox and husband, Joe of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, sister-in-law Lavonda Patterson of Hohenwald, TN, several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Hulan Patterson, two brothers, Keith and Kendall Patterson, two sisters, Gayla Jo and Karen Elaine Patterson. Kalon was a graduate of Couch high School with the class of 1974. After graduation he ran Eagle Tire, was a truck driver and later worked for a gravel quarry in Nashville, TN. In his younger years he enjoyed working on cars and drag racing. Kalon will be remembered as always laughing and entertaining his family and friends. Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO with Bro. Preston Tyler French officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
