Leona Mae Hand, age 88 of Alton, MO was born June 1, 1926 and passed away October 6, 2014 at West Vue Nursing, West Plains, MO. Survivors include; three children, Scott Hand, Rita Brandon and Tim Hand, three grandchildren, Clinton Hand and wife Alesha, Rebecca and Ashley Brandon, one great-granddaughter, Kadence Hand, one brother, Eugene Bowerman, one brother-in-law, Jim Ford, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Bowerman and Clara Johnson Bowerman, her husband Enos Hand, one brother, Virgil Bowerman, three sisters, Fern Johnson, Clara Pingleton and Yvonne Ford. Leona was a life long resident of Oregon County, and attended the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the church. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
