Vonda Lee Fanning, age 81 of Thayer, MO was born October 26, 1932 in Oregon County, MO and passed away April 24, 2014 at the Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO. She is survived by: her husband of 63 years Charles Fanning, daughter, Polly Ward; four grandchildren, Mikel Sand, Melissa Pierce and husband Josh, Marty Sand and wife Brandy, Melinda Wilson and husband Jeremy; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Matt and Riley Pierce, Ely, Levi and Mayce Wilson, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Barton and Geneva Wiggs Barton, a daughter, Peggy Lee Fanning and 2 son-in-laws, Bob Sand and Jim Ward. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Bailey Cemetery with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Bailey Cemetery, under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
