Velma Lee (Frisbee) Jackson, age 86 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born August 11, 1927, in East St. Louis, MO, and passed away January 23, 2014, at her home. Survivors include: 4 daughters, Irene Frakes, Janis Pratt, Verona Imboden, and Brenda Phenix; 1 son, Jim Jackson; 1 brother, Claude Frisbee; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charlie; her father, Elmer Frisbee; her mother, Beulah (Broadway) Barker; her step-father, Wayne Barker; 2 sisters, Jean Weaver and Mary Overturf; 1 brother, Gary Barker; 1 daughter, Leona (Jackson) Duke; 2 grandsons, Keith Jackson and Sandy Mero; 1 great-granddaughter, Christal. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, January 26, 2014, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Robert Brown officiating, and burial following in the Thayer Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Saturday, January 25, 2014. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
