James Lee Howard was born January 23, 1953 in Corsicana, TX to Sidney and Lela Howard. He passed away January 19, 2014 at the age of 60 at the Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO.   He is survived by his wife Charlotte “Katie” Howard of Thayer, MO, son Brian Howard and wife Dori, grandson Conner, of Denton TX, daughter, Tracie Roe and husband Paul, grand-kids Jazman Howard and Gavin Roe of Alton, MO, his mother Lela Howard of Melbourne, FL, sister Glenda Cagle of Melbourne, FL, brother Jimmy Howard of Melbourne, FL, step-children, Robert Dodd and wife Joanne of Hickory Creek, TX, Michelle Dodd of Mesquite, TX, and well as many step-grand-kids, family members and friends.   He was preceded in death by his father Sidney Howard and step-mother Maxine Howard.   James was a mechanic for many years a sawmill worker at Bland Brothers, lovingly known as “Julio”. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching old movies. He was a great father, “papa” and husband, and will be greatly missed. Services will 11:00am Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Following the service the body will be cremated.
