James Lee “Smitty” Smith, age 38, residence TX, was born May 20, 1975 in Alton, MO and passed away December 11, 2013 in Landstuhl Germany from a non-combat related illness. He is survived his wife Melissa Smith, his very adored daughter Cheyenne Smith, his parents, Phyllis and Therman Smith, siblings Travis and Ron Smith. He was a great man, son, father, husband, brother, and friend. He was dedicated, was a great mechanic, soldier, and Seabee. He was easy going and had a good sense of humor. Services will be at 10:00am Saturday, December 21, 1013 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, with burial in the Bailey Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Please instead of flowers, donate to the National Stroke foundation, Wounded Warrior, or The Fisher house. Thank you to everyone Military and Civilian for your love and support, it would have embarrassed and humbled him.
