Inez Marie (Allmon) Brown, was born March 5, 1925, to Oscar and Bertha (Reed) Allmon, and passed away September 14, 2013, at the age of 88 years, 6 monhts, and 9 days at the Mercy-St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, MO. She married Jack Brown on October 4, 1943, and to this union were born 9 children. Jack and Inez had lived most of their married life in Greer, MO. She was a devoted mother and wife. She is survived by: 8 children, Charles Brown of Kansas City, MO, Margaret Blanton and husband Ray of Douglas, KS, James Brown and wife Kathleen of Alton, MO, Junior Brown and wife Sheila of Alton, MO, Jackie Bull and husband Ed of Gatewood, MO, David Brown of Alton, MO, Tricia Carter and husband Don of Crossville, TN, and Brenda Brooks and husband Melvin of Mountain View, MO; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Leona Brown and AvaLee Fanning; 1 brother, Elvin Allmon; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded by: her parents, Oscar and Bertha (Reed) Allmon; her husband, Jack Brown; 1 daughter, Janet (Brown) Fletcher; 7 sisters, Flodia Parrott, Silma Brawley, Sybil Bunzel, Bonnie Simpson, Freda Thompson, AnnaLee White, and Jetta Toler; a great-grandson, Jocob Johnson; 1 daughter-in-law, Mary. She was a woman of faith and she loved her Saviour and had been saved at a young age. As long as her health would allow she attended church at both Bailey FWB and Victory FWB churches. Services will be 1pm Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Bro. Terry Wright officiating, with burial following in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
