Viola Bell Lindsay Good, age 91, died at Alton, MO, on June 2, 2013. Born December 1, 1921, in Salida, CO, Viola was the only child of Claude Hamilton Lindsay and Susan Elizabeth Heid Lindsay. Viola married George Rockwell Good on August 29, 1942. This union was blessed with nine children, 31 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren.

As an infant, Viola moved to the Kansas City Area and lived several years around Pleasant Hill and Lone Jack, Missouri. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1940. Later, after marrying George Good, they moved their family to southern Missouri. Viola gave her life to the lord when she was 30 and lived a dedicated servant life. An important part of her life was impressing upon her children the importance of knowing the Lord. Viola had a passion to teach children’s Sunday school classes and did so for many years and thoroughly enjoyed doing so.

Survivors include: her daughter-in-law Sandy Good of Kingman, Arizona, Georgia Faye (Sis) Simpson (Danny) Alton, MO, Betty Rochester (Carl) Denham Springs, LA, Dot Violett (Mike) Oklahoma City, OK, Joyce Wicker (Dayton) Joplin, MO, Danny Good (Mary) Alton, MO, Carol Colley (Stephen) Alton, MO, Rocky Good (Brenda) Alton, MO, and Susie Heckman (Jeff) Alton, MO. Viola was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Susan Lindsay, husband George Good, son CJ Good and two grandsons Adam Good and Alex Good.

Viola also leaves to mourn her passing her Shepherd’s View family, and many other friends she dearly loved. Viola never met a stranger and everyone who had the privilege of meeting her was blessed with her kindness.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening at 6pm-8pn at Clary Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Reverend Jessi Schwab, her great- granddaughter, officiating. Burial will be 1pm Thursday, June 6, 2013, at West Point Cemetery in Amsterdam, MO, where she will be beside her beloved husband and son.

Pallbearers will be her six daughters, Fay, Betty, Dot, Joyce, Carol and Susie.
