Donald Ray Smith, age 65 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born August 26, 1946, in Caruthersville, MO, and passed away March 9, 2012, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, AR. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Austin Smith of the home; five children, David Smith of Webb City, MO, Daniel Smith of Porterville, CA, Thresa Bivins of Thayer, MO, Laura Wallace of Koshkonong, MO, Donald Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR; one brother, Edward Thomas of Beloit, WI; two sisters, Francine Anthonson of Rockford, IL, and Patricia Varble of Eldorado, IL; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were: his parents, Arthur Smith and Margaret Gaskin Smith Repke; and one brother, Marvin Smith. Donald was a long time employee of the City of Thayer, working as a truck driver with the Street Department. Memorial services will be at 7:00pm Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO.
