James Monroe Tolar, was born the son of John Doss Tolar and Gladys Lindsey Tolar on March 19, 1948 in Memphis, TN. He departed this life November 11, 2011 at West Plains, MO at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his wife, Janice Tolar of the home in Thayer, MO, four sons, John Tolar of Thayer, MO, Lee Tolar of Holt, MO, Brian Tolar and wife Rachael of Gladstone, MO, Richard Tolar of Atchison, KS, five brothers, William Tolar and son Chris, Don Tolar and wife Evelyn of Ashflat, AR, Robert Tolar and wife Dorothy of Laddonia, MO, Gerald Tolar and wife Gayle, Harold Tolar and wife Paula, all of Vandalia, MO, two sisters, Joyce Govero and Charlie of Vandalia, MO, Sue Rhoden and husband Chris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a brother-in-law, Bob Taylor of St. Louis, MO, five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Gladys Tolar, two sisters, Irene Taylor and Delores Bringear, James was of the Baptist faith. Services will be 2:00pm Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO, with Bro. Brandon Martin officiating, with burial in the Thayer Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
