Emma Maxine Tinsley, age 89 of Alton, MO was born May 31, 1922 near Many Springs, MO and passed away September 13, 2011 at Mountain View Healthcare. Survivors include; one brother, Bill Forester and wife Nellie of Alton, MO, one sister, Earnestine “Tootsie” Roy and husband James of Mountain View, MO, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Earnest Forester and Lottie Lowry Forester, her husband Ivan Tinsley, two sisters, Jenny Dodson and Christine Lewis, two brothers, Wayne and Emil Forester. Maxine was a retired teacher of 35 years, with 32 of those years in the Oregon County School system. Services will be 2:00pm Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Edward Casey officiating, interment in the Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 12:30pm until service time. Memorial donations be made to the Alton R-IV School Foundation Scholarship fund, Rt. 2 Box 2180 Alton, MO 65606, in memory of Maxine Tinsley.
