Bea Roy, age 97 of the Riverton Community, was born February 22, 1914 near Riverton and passed away March 18, 2011 at Shady Oaks Healthcare, Thayer, MO. Survivors include, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, John Thomas Hufstedler and Delila Johnson Hufstedler, and her husband, Leamon Ray Roy. For many years Bea kept everyone informed of happenings in and around the Riverton Community, writing a weekly article for the South Missourian News. Bea and Leamon were long time prominent members of the Oregon County Democrat Party. Graveside services will be held 4pm Sunday, March 20, 2011, at the Lance Cemetery near Riverton, MO, with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
