Gladys L. Powell, age 81 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born March 29, 1929, near Mammoth Spring, AR, and passed away August 12, 2010, at her home. Survivors include: her husband, Elmer Powell of Mammoth Spring, AR; 3 sisters, Minnie Risner of Belle Plaine, IA, Ethel Risner of Mammoth Spring, AR, and Marie Young of Bigelow, AR; 1 sister-in-law, Edith Robinson of Gainesville, FL, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded by: her parents, Fred and Cyntythia (Jewell) Phillips; and 1 brother, Howard Phillips. Services will be 2pm Sunday, August 15, 2010, at the Clary Funeral Home chapel in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Erman Croney officiating, and burial following in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Saturday, August 14, 2010. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO.
