William Lenard Janes, son of the late William Zentz Janes and Hattie Mae Davis Janes, was born August 20, 1926 in Thayer, MO and passed at his home in Thayer, Missouri on July 17, 2010 at the age of 83 years. He was united in marriage May 25, 1946 to Eula Faye Martin, and to this union three children were born. He is survived by his three daughters; Wilma Rogers of Mammoth Spring, AR, Deborah Haynes of Thayer, MO, Rose Mary Ramsey and husband Eddie of Thayer, MO, four grandsons, Wesley Rogers and wife Vicki, Michael Ramsey and wife Crystal, Brad Haynes and wife Jennifer, Brandon Haynes and wife Nicole, seven great-grandchildren, Weston and Avery Rogers, Alexa and Jade Ramsey, Ashelyn, Brayden and Hattie Haynes, and four step-grandchildren, one brother-n-law, Jesse Martin and wife Clara of Mammoth Spring, AR, one brother, Glen Janes and wife Geneva of Ozark Acres, AR, two sister-in-laws, Charleen and Irene Janes Childers of Thayer, MO, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye, five brothers, Herbert, Otis, Harrell, Lawrence and Cleo Janes, three sisters, Ambie Roy, Velma Combs and Annabelle McKee, one son-in-law, Douglas Rogers. Lenard was well known to many as a mechanic for many years, he was employed for 20 years by Trimble Chevrolet in Thayer, MO, and later owned and operated Lenard’s DX for 28 years in Thayer, MO. He was a charter member of the Thayer Freewill Baptist Church. He loved his horses, participating in many local parades and trail rides. He loved his family and enjoyed his friends. Graveside services will be 10:00am Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Thayer Cemetery with Bro. Richard Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Sunday at the Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, MO. |
