Robert Lindy “Bob” Farris, age 71 of Maynard, AR, formerly of Alton, MO, was born August 12, 1938, in Oregon County, MO, and passed away April 30, 2010. Survivors include: four sisters, Dorothy Thee of Scott City, MO, Daisy Polley of Rockford, IL, Kay Burkholder and husband Joe of Gilbertsville, IA, Dessie Rottinghaus and husband John of Waterloo, IA; three daughters, Janice Tice of Winona,Mo, Michelle Simpson of Conway, AR, LaDawn Haney of Doniphan, MO; one step-daughter, Melissa Busby of Ash Flat, AR; one step-son, David Sacra of Thayer, MO; seven grandchildren, Deana Norton, Jasson Farris, Vince Farris, Jessica Stevens, Stephanie Wilson, Shanna Powell, Laura Haney; eight step-grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; twenty five step-great grandchildren; his ex-wife, Faye Farris of Thayer, MO; one aunt, Imogene Blackwell of St. Anne, MO; nineteen nieces and nephews; and lots of extended family and friends. Preceding him in death were: his parents, Fred Farris and Avis Bettis Farris; one sister, ,Jean Eudaley; one step-son, Douglas Cline; 1 step-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be 2pm Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Bailey Cemetery in Alton, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO.
