Franklin Larance Taylor, 84 of Alton, MO, was born October 16, 1925 in Alton, MO and departed this life on March 23, 2010, at Shepherd’s View Residential Care Facility in Alton, MO. Frank was married on December 6, 1946, in Salem, AR to Pauline Eva Crabtree of Alton, MO. He was Baptized May 10, 1997 as one of Jehovah Witnesses. Survivors include: two sons, Robert Taylor and wife Nancy, and Chester Taylor and wife Dessa, both of Alton, MO; two daughters, Sandra Mitchener of Alton, MO and Rosey Daugherty and husband Gerald of Thomasville, MO, and 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen David Taylor of Pasadena, TX, four sisters, Pauline Wicklein of St. Louis, MO, Gladys Davis of St. Louis, MO, Beulah Lupkey of Salem, IL and Bonnie Tiwowarezyk of Chicago, IL, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; Moody Franklin Taylor and Nancy Ann Shipman Taylor, his wife Pauline, one infant son; one son, Richard Taylor, three sisters, Marie Schadt, Frances Unrine and Glee, one infant brother, one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, March 28, 2010, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, with Bro. Dee Jackson officiating. Following the service the body will be cremated, with burial at a later date in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Saturday at the funeral home. |
