Wesley Keith VanCamp, age 70, was born December 21, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away June 20, 2009 at his home. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1956 to 1962 as a tank mechanic, later becoming a long haul truck driver. He had a passion for trucking, old cars, and sharing his humor and laughter with family and friends. Wesley was united in marriage on November 14,1980 to Susie (Hufstedler) Lance making their home in Riverton, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Susie, one daughter Regina VanCamp from a previous marriage, four step daughters, Susan Lance, Mary Jo Johnson, Barbara Simpson, Melody Campbell, 8 grandchildren, Brad Bettis, Daniel Lance, Tiffany Campbell, Thomas Johnson, Tabitha Campbell, Logan Simpson, Sam Johnson, Desirae Simpson, 3 great grandchildren, Kolton Bettis, Leilah Johnson, Madalyn Campbell, one sister, Linda Combs, 3 nieces, Tammy Patrick, Lori Wilkerson, Joanie Adams, numerous other nieces and nephews, extended family members as well as many, many dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, George Leslie VanCamp and Lefta Ann (Roark) VanCamp and numerous half-brothers and sisters. Services will be Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Clary Funeral Home Chapel, Alton, Missouri with Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2009 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. |
