Elbert G. “Bill” Roberts, age 92 of Alton, MO was born August 9, 1916 in Oregon County, MO and passed away May 22, 2009 at the Shepherds View Residential Care Facility, Alton, MO. Survivors include; a foster daughter Judy Stivers and husband Michael of Drexel, MO, two grandchildren, Jackie Clay and husband Chris of Jonesboro, AR, Jessie Johnson-Bennett of Alexandria, VA, a special friend, Richard Orr of Alton, MO and numerous other relatives friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Clyde Thomas Roberts and Novella (Baker) Roberts, his wife Irene Key Roberts, three brothers, Herb, Milburn and Doyle Roberts and two sisters, Alma Roberts and May Thomason. Services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Arvil Hill officiating. Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
