Clessie Mae Parrott Dobbs, age 91, was born January 13, 1918 at Alton Mo. and departed this life on March 5, 2009 at Shepherd's View Residential Care at Alton, Mo. Clessie was married to Woodrow Parrott on May 6, 1937 and to this union three children were born. He preceded her in death on Nov 28. 1976. Later she was married to Albert Dobbs who preceded her in death on April 19, 1987. Survivors include two sons; Dale Parrott and wife, Phyllis of West Plains, Mo and Woodrow Junior Parrott and wife, Velma of Alton. One son-in-law, Jack Campbell of Alton. Seven grandchildren; Rhonda Arnold and husband Rick of Myrtle, Mo. Tina Bell and husband James of Cle Elum, Washington, Kevin Campbell and Keith Campbell and wife, Ramona of Alton, Randy Parrott and wife, Christi and Rodney Parrott and wife, Jamie of Thomasville, Mo.and Becky Sparks of Kansas City, Mo. Ten great-grandchildren Ryan Shields, Jason Arnold, Amanda and Jessica Campbell, Ashley and Dale Cooper, Cody, Autumn, Samson and Orin Parrott. Three great-great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, and Keera. Also four step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren. Two sisters; Minerva Black of Willow Springs, Mo and Jo Pingleton of Hollister, Mo. Besides her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Hollis and Bessie Hollis Parrott, her daughter, Imogene Campbell, Two grandsons, Ricky Campbell and Roger Dale Parrott, four brothers, Loyd, William, Willard, and David. Clessie was a member of the Royal Oak Freewill Baptist Church. Services will be 2:00pm Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with interment in the Huddleston Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
