Clyde George Webb, age 83 of Thayer, MO, was born April 11, 1925, in Hazelton, KS, and passed away June 27, 2008, at St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield, MO.

He was married May 21, 1946, to Mary Evelyn (Wiggs) Coats, who preceded him in death on November26, 2004. He was married May 17, 1975, in Walnut Ridge, AR, to Dora Beeching, who preceded him in death October 12, 1997.

He is survived by: his 5 children, Bobbie Webb and wife Helen of Rhineland, MO, Carolyn Jackson and husband Cecil of Thayer, MO, Rose Vandiver of Koshkonong, MO, Velma Ann Rich and husband Bob of Salem, MO, and William E. Webb and wife Mary of Tucson, AZ; 4 step children, Justine Sperl of West Covina, CA, Glenda Guthrie and husband Gene of Salt Lake City, UT, Ronald Beeching and wife Phyllis of Salem, AR, and Karen Kay Paul and husband Herman of Doolittle, MO; 1 brother, Glen Webb and wife Nellie of Desoto, KS; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; 5 nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Clyde is preceded in death by: his parents, William Elza and Laura Mae (Robinson) Webb; both wives, Mary Evelyn (Wiggs) Coats and Dora Beeching; 1 stepson; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was in the Army, and served during World War II. He was then employed as a mail carrier for 23 years at the Thayer Post Office.

Services will be 10am Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Richard Robinson officiating, with burial following in the Thayer Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Monday, June 30, 2008, at the Clary Chapel in Thayer, MO. Arrangements are being made under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
