Leona Pearl Rogers Denton, age 88 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born August 6, 1919 in Fulton County, AR and passed away March 10, 2008 at the Fulton County Hospital, Salem AR. Survivors include; one son, Jim Denton and wife Imogene of Mammoth Spring, AR, one daughter, Sharon Myers of Thayer, MO, one sister, Gladys Tomkins of Thayer, MO, five grandchildren, 7 great-grand children, 4 great-great-grandchildren, her nurse, Vicki Bostic and her caregiver, Sondra Sandridge. Preceding her in death were her parents, Elige and Maude Owen Rogers, her husband, James Ike Denton, one son-in-law, George Myers, two brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00pm Thursday, March 13, 2008 in the Clary Funeral Home Chapel, Mammoth Spring, AR with a service to follow at 7:00pm, Bro. Jimmy Lemonds officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated, with burial at a later date. Arrangements are being made under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Mammoth Spring, AR.
