Jo Beth Springfield Kent was born in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas on October 4, 1958, to Donald and Virginia (Goodwin) Springfield. She passed away in her home in Springfield, MO, on June 12, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, who she loved with her whole heart and missed deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Bethany Kent (Chad Wrye), and grandson, Yorick Hall, of Nashville, TN, her husband, Rob Fender and his daughter Hailey of Springfield, MO, her brother Jimmy Springfield (Wanda) of Billings, MO, her sister Judy Larsen of Waterford, MI, and several loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as her precious cat, Miss Kitty.

Jo Beth was memorable to everyone who ever met her. If she enjoyed something, it would quickly become a passion for her. She would commit to learning everything that she could about the topic and pass her knowledge on to everyone who would listen. Her passion for things was so infectious that she would soon have those close to her as invested as she was. Some of those interests included music, reading, and watching sports and horse racing. She also loved animals and considered her pets family.

She had devoted her life to Jesus Christ and found much strength and comfort in her walk with the Lord. Jo Beth and Rob spent the last 22 years together helping each other make it through this life on Earth with their goal of eventually being reunited in Heaven with all their loved ones and their pets.

Visitation will be held at Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO on Thursday, June 18, from 2-3 pm with a celebration of life service to follow.
