Karen Bridges, 60, of Alton, Missouri went to be with our Lord on January 16th, 2022. Karen, daughter of Glenna and Floyd Buckner, was born on December 29, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a graduate of Alton High School class of 1980. On January 1st, 1980, she married Dennis Bridges of Greer, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Bridges; sons Brian Bridges, Doug Bridges and his wife Karen Crews-Bridges; brother, Randy Buckner; sisters, Kathy Buckner and Shelly Pliler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenna Buckner, father, Floyd Buckner, and two brothers, Terry Buckner and Ricky Buckner. Karen loved being surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed going shopping with her family as well as embroidering baby blankets. If you stopped by her house, she would always ask if you wanted to play a game of cards. Karen always made sure there was a warm meal on the table for anyone who stopped by to visit. During the summer, Karen and Dennis could be found at the creek enjoying God’s creation. For the last several years, Karen cleaned houses for a living. She adored her clients and thought of them as family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Services will be at 11:00am Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Dakota Bates officiating. Interment will be in the Bailey Cemetery. |
