Margaret (Peggy) Royster, 82, of Thayer, MO passed from this life on November 4, 2021. She was born April 24, 1939, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, spent her childhood in West Virginia, and finished her high school years in Virginia. Following high school graduation, she attended nursing school during which time she met her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth Royster. They resided in numerous places across the country prior to retiring in Thayer.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Seagraves; her father, Drury Seagraves; and her brother, Harvey Seagraves.

Margaret is survived by her husband Kenneth Royster; their two children, Kenneth Royster Jr. and wife Alayne of Wylie, TX, and Kim Ragsdale and husband Monty of Mammoth Spring, AR. Survivors include granddaughter Holly Vasquez and husband Chris of Midlothian TX; grandson Ethan Royster and wife Erin of McKinney, TX; granddaughter Jamie Royster of Wylie, TX; granddaughter Emma Ragsdale of Paragould, AR; grandson Reece Ragsdale of Mammoth Spring; and great-granddaughter Sophie Vasquez of Midlothian, TX. Margaret is also survived by her brother Chester Seagraves and wife Carol of Spring Valley, CA; sister-in-law Ginny Seagraves of Mammoth Spring; and several nieces and nephews.

Once a registered nurse, Margaret’s proudest job was that as a mother and homemaker. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, quilting, reading and working in her yard. She enjoyed canning produce from her husband’s garden and writing cards to others. A Christian from her young adult years, Margaret was active in local congregations of the Church of Christ in each place she lived and was a member at the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ until her passing. When her health began to fail, she spent hours listening to Bible readings and enjoying church services online. Margaret was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved them unconditionally and was happy to tell everyone about them. She put her family before herself and was a faithful Christian woman with a strong love for God.

Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ, with burial following in the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, AR. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO.
