James C. Cunningham, SR, age 82 of Lake Toxaway, N.C., formerly of Independence, MO was born April 3, 1937 in Dewitt, AR and passed away August 25, 2019.

Survivors include; five children, Sue Dufilho of Olney, IL, James Cunningham, JR of Paxton, IL, Janet Flowers of Lake Toxaway, N.C., Matt Cunningham and Adam Cunningham, both of Kansas City, MO, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, McCoy Cunningham and Essie Green-Cunningham, two sisters, Madae and Mildred and a brother Billy.

Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. JR Andrews officiating, burial in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 pm until service time.
