Lloyd Allen (Tom) Roberts was born November 3, 1932 in Alton, MO and departed this life on October 11, 2010 at his home in Alton with his wife and son, Michael, by his side.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, two sons Michael Allen Roberts and wife-Shirley, of Alton, Mo, Glenn Duane Roberts of Marshfield, MO, five grandchildren-Douglas Roberts of Springfield, MO, Dustin Roberts of Alton, MO, Glenn II, Dylan, and Candace Roberts of West Plains, MO. He is also survived by one sister-Mary Ann Lawrence and husband Melvin of New Castle, Indiana, sister-in-laws Shirley Roberts, Anna Marie Roberts, Janette Gamache and husband Emmett, brother in law Theodore Plack, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents Perry A. Roberts and Ella Casey Roberts, five brothers-Paul, Willard, Phillip, Alex and Luie Roberts.

Lloyd grew up in the Riverton Community, joined the army and served in the Korean Conflict. He met his future wife, Joyce Katherine Plack, while she was on vacation at the river in Riverton, MO and they were married on January 28, 1956 in St. Louis, MO. While living in St. Louis, he worked for Century Electric and the McDonald Corporation. They later moved back to Alton where they made their home and raised their family. Tom served as a school bus driver for the Alton School District for a number of years.He enjoyed fishing, trapping, and hunting with coon hunting being his favorite. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren on these activities and teaching them about the outdoors.

Services will be Thursday, October 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Pastor Timothy Matthew of Trinity Lutheran Church in Doniphan, MO, burial in the Many Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers- Ray Roberts, Junior Roberts, Dean Roberts, Tom Roberts, Mack Roberts, Josh Roberts. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
