Arey Benjamin Deckard, age 78 of Alton, MO was born February 9th, 1932 in Oregon County, MO and passed away May 11, 2010 at his home. Survivors include; three daughters, Vicki Privett and husband Mel, Shelley Tillman and husband Dean, Jennifer Roe and husband James, three sons, Rick Deckard and wife Mary, Randy Deckard, all of Alton, MO, Tim Deckard of Homestead, FL, one brother, Alfred Deckard, five sisters, Bonnie Adams, Jewell Dildine, Eula Mae Walker, Lizzie Walker and Sara Petty, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Also survived by one very special friend, Dorothy Allen of Birch Tree, MO, and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, James Deckard and Nettie Stevens-Deckard, his wife, Beulah Deckard, one daughter, Gail Bettis and several brothers and sisters. Services will be 2:00pm Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Doc Barton officiating, with burial in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. |
