Floyd Frost, age 85 of Alton, MO, was born June 25, 1931 in Oregon County, MO, and passed away June 17, 2017, at National Health Care in West Plains, MO. Survivors include; his wife of 40 years Joann Hollis-Frost, one son, Jonney Frost and wife Tricia, 0f West Plains, MO, two grandsons; Cody and Justin, one step-son, David Crowell and wife Julie of Alton, MO, two- step-grandchildren, Beth Deckard, Michael Crowell and wife Amber, 3 step-great-grandchildren, Logan Lee and Savannah Deckard and Blake Crowell, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elishia Frost and Nova Strain-Frost, a son, Patrick Frost, his first wife Josette Morett-Frost, 11 brothers, John, Eugene, Joy, Charlie, Loyd, Everett, James, Roy, Leonard and Willie Frost, Paul Barton, two sisters; Rhoda Hollis and Nora Pingleton. Floyd was a veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam Wars, where he earned several medals. After retiring from the United States army he went on to own and operate a restaurant with his wife Joann in Alton, MO. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him, as friends and family will attest. Visitation will be held 6pm-8pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Masonic Rites.
